Senior Engineer – Purchase

Roles & Responsibilities

·       Procurement of Local & Imported raw materials

·       Getting offers/Issuing PO’S/Follow up for Material/getting the material on time

·       Working on ERP entries and reports

·       MRP based procurement planning

·       Monitor open order trend & checking the surge capacity with vendors for future

·       Exploring new suppliers/Credit Terms & Negotiations with suppliers

·       Establishing New/Alternate Suppliers development for Quality related Services, AMC, IT Material

·       Payment follow up with Finance team for supplier payments

·       Communication with suppliers & internal departments

·       Supporting suppliers to resolve quality issues

·       Ensuring Internal customer satisfaction

·       Supplier Assessments/Audits/Vendor Development

·       Preparation of different reports/Cost Comparisons etc.

·       Ensuring On time delivery of Quality Products in economical price & making the availability of material for production/Manufacturing

·       Maintaining and presenting records/Facing quality audits/Preparation of QC documents related to purchase/timely updating of Approved Supplier Lists/ABC Analysis/ensuring the quality systems are followed/ethical behaviour

·       Monitor the vendor performance periodically & get improvement plan for failure cases.

·       Cost savings in purchase value through indigenization & effective negotiation

·       Maintaining material master, pattern master, rate contracts & other purchase related documents up to date for effective purchasing

·       Maintaining cordial relations with suppliers

·       Working Towards Organization goals & Objectives

 

Requirements & Skills

·       B.E. or Diploma with minimum 4-5 years of experience

·       High energy, and a drive to grow and learn

·       Intermediate to advanced excel skills

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·       Strong time management and a customer focus approach

·       The ability to pick up new systems quickly

·       A great attitude and team-player approach

·       Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

·       Negotiation skills

·       Presentation skills

·       Knowledge of procurement of material required for Air Conditioners
